Carl F. Hering

Carl Hering, 77, died peacefully in Lakewood, Colorado on August 9th, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 58 years Carol, one son Sean Hering, daughter in- law Sheri Hering & one daughter Michelle Hering. He was an incredible grandpa to five grandchildren & seven great grandchildren. 

He was born on October 9, 1946, to Henry "Hap" Hering and Carmen Barnes Hering in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his sister Sandy Hering & brother Jim Hering. He is survived by one younger brother Mike Hering. 

Carl attended high school at Middle Park High in Granby Colorado. It was here he met his wife of 58 years Carol Woods Hering. While in high school he played football & was on the wrestling team. Carl then completed trade school for drafting & stationary engineering. Carl worked many years at Sigman Meat Company in Arvada, Colorado as a lead mechanic & then became a well-respected chief engineer at several buildings in Denver, Colorado. 

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was extremely knowledgeable and loved fixing things. Carl was the one family member when anyone needed advice or help family could count on. He always put family ahead of himself, even in sickness he cared more about family than himself. 

He will be dearly missed by all family and friends. 

Memorial Services will be held at Newcomer Mortuary 901 S Sheridan, Blvd in Lakewood, Colorado on Sunday September 15, 2024, at 1:00PM
