Carl Dennis May went home to be with the Lord December 24, 2021, in Longmont, Colorado at the tender age of 76. A loving family man, former machinist, and dear friend to many. Carl was born in Detroit Michigan August 9th, 1945, to Ivan and Beatrice May. The third eldest of eight siblings he stood out as the tallest with blonde hair, blue eyes.
From childhood on he learned the value of hard work, dedication, and the importance of family. At 28 years old Carl's journey brought him to Colorado where he eventually found his wife Debra and settled down to raise a new family. His joys in life were his Family, tools, documentaries, music, and his religious faith. A selfless man who despite having chronic back pain always was willing to help anyone in need. This also included spoiling his Wife, Children, and Grandchildren throughout the years. He was the prime example of unconditional love and generosity. His acts of kindness will truly be missed by everyone he encountered.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents Ivan and Beatrice, brother James, and Daughter April. He is survived by his wife Debra. His Children; Christopher, Jennifer, and Melinda. Grandchildren; Anya, Ryleigh, Gavin, Zariah, and Tenzin. Siblings Eric, Carolyn, Sylvia, Kurt, Julia, and Diana. As well as many other family members, friends, and loved ones.
Celebration of Carl's life will be held Sunday January 9th, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home at 901 S Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood CO 80226 at 11:00AM. If you do not wish to wear black Carl's favorite color was Magenta.
