Carlotta Louise Hemphill

December 15, 1951 — April 17, 2024

Carlotta Louise Hemphill, our beautiful angel, was born December 15, 1951, in Gatesville, Texas, to parents Henry and Birdie Fowler. Carlotta was preceded in death by her father, Henry Fowler, brothers Nathaniel and Henry Bob Fowler, and sisters Madeline Mosley and Marilyn Thomas.

Carlotta grew up in San Angelo, Texas, and attended Central High School.

Carlotta accepted Christ early and was baptized in Alexander Temple Church of God In Christ. At the age of 21, she married her husband, Lee Willie Hemphill Jr. Together, they had four children: eldest son Elvin Hemphill, daughters Katrina Hemphill and LeShenee Thomas, and youngest son Dariques Hemphill.

Carlotta moved to Colorado with her family in 1988. She attended Evangelist Temple but eventually found her church home at Power of Love under the leadership of Pastor William Collins. Carlotta loved the church and was very active in her ministry. She could always be found in the church working as the treasurer, praising the Lord as a choir member, or teaching Sunday School.

On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, she heard the Lord say, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant, take your rest.
