Carol Dean Jones , 85, of Thornton, passed away April 22, 2016.
He was born February 17, 1931 in Bloomfield, Iowa, the son of Harley and Lillian (Martin) Jones.
He was a graduate of Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield, Iowa.
On December 18, 1954, he married Elizabeth Anne Sallee.
He honorably served in the Iowa National Guard for 9 years.
Carol was a member of Church of Christ in Thornton. He loved classic cars and trucks. In his younger years, Carol owned and flew airplanes. He also enjoyed woodworking and anything about John Wayne. Above all, Carol enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carol is survived by his Wife of 61 years, Elizabeth Anne Jones; Three Sons, Michael G. (Lydia) Jones, Douglas I. (Denice) Jones and Rodney L. Jones; 10 grandchildren, Kristi, Josh, Kelsey, Courtney, Tyler, Ashley, Dixie, Savannah, Jacob and Aiden and 9 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by Father, Harley W. Jones, Mother, Lillian I. Jones, Son, Ronald Dean Jones, 1 brother and 1 sister.
