Carol J Krizman, 84, of Aurora, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023. She was born to Milan "Stud" and Margaret Elich on July 19, 1939 in Pueblo. Colorado. She graduated from Central High School in 1957. She attended nursing school and received her RN degree. Carol married Jim Krizman on June 24, 1961. They spent 25 years together before Jim passed away in 1996. Carol often described Jim as the love of her life. They lived in California for a few years before moving to Aurora.
Carol worked as labor and delivery nurse for several years. Later, she worked as a floral designer and store manager for Lehrer's Flowers. There she met and began a great friendship with Shirley Little and Lynette Hoffman. Carol and Jim enjoyed playing golf and bowling. They traveled to Hawaii numerous times to play golf and enjoy activities with their friends Dick and Lainey Kaufman. She loved her family reunions, weddings and activities and talking on the phone with them.
She was active in the Assistance League of Denver, helping out at the Thrift Store and designing holiday decorations to sell at their Christmas Boutique.
Carol is survived by her nieces and nephews Charlene (Jerry) Niernberger, Kathy Anderson-Conner, Bruce (Cindy) Anderson, Russell Anderson, Jeffrey (Paula) Anderson, William (Susan) Anderson, Craig (Carmen) Lown, Gary (Lynn) Lown, Terry Lown and Tracy Lown. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, Mausoleum 4, in Pueblo, Colorado on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 1100. A reception will follow at St. Francis Xavier Church Hall 611 Logan Ave.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Assistance League of Denver and American Cancer Society.
