She was born 3 March 1946 to Paul Joseph Kovach and Mona Irene (Carroll). The eldest of her two siblings Richard (Jannene) Kovach and James (Kathleen) Kovach, Carol Ann spent her young days traveling the world with her military family and competing in Track & Field hurdles. She soon obtained a job at the USO where she met the man she'd fall in love with at first sight, (Herbert) Curt Pruett Jr. They married 9 June 1968. Carol gave Curt a son, Herbert Curtis III, born in December that year and a daughter, Penney Sue (Bruce Smith) to follow a year and a half later.
Carol would spend the next 54 years married to Curt, traveling the world some more being an Air Force wife. She spread God's Grace and her amazing love throughout hundreds of people all around the globe. Her faith was always her first and most important detail in life. Her family was always equally tied to her faith and she made sure she could always be there for everyone's everything. Her granddaughter, Stephanie Amber (Larry Thompson Jr.), was her highlight of days and soon she would be so honored to witness having a great-granddaughter, Mickinzi Elizabeth Thompson. Carol also had three step-great-grandsons that she enjoyed and loved entirely, welcoming with open arms and the utmost tenderness. She was always accepting, always forgiving and never judging.
Carol was brought home to finish her time with family in peace. Curt was watching TV next to her hospital bed in the living room, having a semi-"normal" night when she took her final breath. Most of her immediate circle was quick to arrive and be with her the rest of the night shortly afterward. She spent her final days hearing memories, speaking some when she could, being surrounded and smothered with love and Words of God. She passed around 940pm on 5 Oct 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, two sister-in-laws, and numerous other loved ones. She leaves behind her husband, daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, grandson-in-law, four great-grandchildren, two brothers and their wives, a brother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is now walking with Jesus, sharing stories with loved ones in Heaven, and watching over all of us from The Garden above.
In lieu of flowers, please donate puzzle books to area nursing homes. Carol always wanted her mind to stay sharp and knew puzzles were a great way to do that. She has puzzle books for days. Her mind stayed sharp because of it. She would love to help others keep their minds about them and would send in puzzle books frequently to nursing homes. Please keep doing this for her - it'll help many more people just as she always did.
