Carolyn Klatt

Carolyn (Carrie) was born in the family residence in Milwaukee,WI to Marguerite and Charles Schlicht on June 14,1938.She passed away on March 8,2005 after her battle with Ovarian cancer.Viewing will be at Newcomers in Lakewood on Friday,March 11th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Service of the Celebration of Life at Family of Christ Lutheran Church on Baptist Road in Monument,CO on Saturday,March 12th at 11:00 a.m. Carrie graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School, where she met her husband.They both also graduated from Concordia Teachers College in River Forest Illinois.She is survived by her husband Richard E.(Dick) and their five children: Deborah Tucker (Wayne); Richard (Paula); Barbara Rittenhouse (Andy); Daniel (Corrie); and Kimberly Renquest (David). She has five grandchildren: Zachary,Tyler,and Mackenzie Klatt; Nathaniel Renquest; and John Rittenhouse.She has one step grandaughter,Tonya Marino.Carrie was a super mom and wife.She enjoyed reading,gardening,painting,singing in church choirs and participating in bowling,golf,and skiing.She was an avid sports fan and literally attended or watched thousands of games involving her children and her favorite teams.She is further survived by her brothers Robert Schlicht (Kathryn) and Thomas Schlicht (Sherry) and her sister,Gloria Szuminski (Silver).She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Denver Lutheran High School or Family of Christ Lutheran Church.
