Carolyn Mae Martin, 83, passed away December 14th, 2018. She was born March 19th, 1935 in Butte, Nebraska, the daughter of Carl and Ella Mae (Goedde) Harris. On August 8th, 1963, she married Paul Eugene Martin Jr. in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Carolyn was a dedicated wife of 45 years to her husband Paul and loving mother who always put her two son's needs before her own. Her and her husband Paul rebuilt and built many log homes in the community she loved the most, a quaint little town called Story Wyoming. She owned and operated a community based produce company in Story Wyoming in the mid 1980's with her husband. She loved helping people. She was known on many occasions to help people in that small community who were in need. In the 1990's she became a self-employed real estate agent in Story, Wyoming, and loved selling houses and enjoyed sitting on her front porch meeting all the new people moving into town.
She left the small mountain town of Story and moved to Casper, Wyoming. She was employed at the Casper College library and worked there until her retirement.
Some of hobbies she loved were gardening, canning vegetables, spending time with her children and grandchildren, watching old western movies with her husband, and decorating ceramics in her own home based ceramic studio.
Over the last years of her life she struggled with Parkinson's disease but never gave up and always tried to keep a smile on her face. She was a strong woman who taught both her sons to never give up no matter what and see things through to the end.
Carolyn is survived by her two sons, Roy (Cheryl) Martin and Thomas (Tracey) Martin; four grandchildren, Brittany Martin (Bill Starrett), Michelle Martin (Gio Gomez), Nick (Cora Baker) Martin and Aaron Martin; and three great-grandchildren, Lilya Starrett, Jaida Martin and Xyla Gomez; brother, Jerry (Lou Jean) Harris; and sister-in-law, Sharon Harris. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul E Martin Jr; parents Carl and Ella Mae Harris, and two brothers, LeRoy Harris and Stanley Harris.
