Cataldo "Charlie" Miscioscia, 91, took God's hand on February 21, 2019. A loving husband, caring father, and doting grandpa and great grandfather, Cataldo passed peacefully surrounded by his family.
Cataldo was born in Italy and moved to the United States at the age of five. He was raised in New Jersey, where he met his surviving wife of 68 years, Marie, and raised their children Louis, Rafaella, and Karen. His children adored him as did his seven grandchildren and four great-grandsons. His large hands always greeted each of them with a full embrace and his goodbyes always ended with "I love you MORE." Cataldo loved great food, sports, politics, travel, but always above all, family.
Cataldo was a proud Navy veteran who cared deeply for his country. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him, including his surviving sister Laura and brother Joseph who continue to reside in New Jersey.
Services will be held on Monday, March 4th at Newcomer Funeral Home at 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80226. The viewing will begin at 11am with the funeral beginning at 12:30pm. Cataldo will then be honored by a full military ceremony at Ft. Logan Cemetery at 2:15pm.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks for donations to be sent to the Cancer Research Institute, as Cataldo lost too many loved ones to cancer, https://fundraise.cancerresearch.org/cataldo?fbclid=IwAR0vIL_u6fAALtK-XFh0_kHfe0ls43IZeBxgOsAITlBihVkNX5dN4_Hube0.
