Catherine F. Cullen

Catherine Frances (Ghormley) Cullen, 67, of Centennial, CO. passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019. She was born August 23, 1951, in Oklahoma City, OK. to Dr. Luther Wayne Ghormley and Jessica Ellen Stone.

Catherine married in 1979, and had twin daughters, Alison Ruhs and Catie (Ruhs) Foye. After divorcing from her first husband, Catherine changed her last name to Cullen (a family name). In 1997 Catherine met, and later married, Terry Yiannikis. They remained together until her last moments.

Catherine was a loving mother and devoted wife. She spent 30 years with United Airlines as a flight attendant. Catherine was an avid reader and well versed on many topics. She enjoyed watching Star Trek and good comedy shows often. People will remember her as a kind, loving and gentle soul. Catherine valued her quiet time and was a bit of an introvert. However, one would not have known this when meeting her because of her warm and ingratiating manner.

Survivors include her husband Terry Yiannikis; 2 daughters, Alison Ruhs, Catie Foye; 4 sisters (1 full, 3 half), Mary (Ghormley) Villarreal, Becky (Ghormley) Osuna, Brenda (Ghormley) Brown, Beverly (Ghormley) Cochenhour; 3 (Villarreal) nieces, Sarah Campos, Meghan Dow, Rachael Maschka; 3 grandchildren, Rowan Foye, Adam & Zachary Ruhs; her father and stepmother, Luther Wayne and Karen Ghormley. Catherine was preceded in death by her mother, Jessica Ellen Stone and stepfather, William Edward Stone.

A spreading of Catherine's Ashes will take place on August 23, 2019 in Estes Park. This place and date held special meaning for Catherine. It's not only Catherine's birthday, but also her wedding anniversary to her husband Terry, at the place they exchanged their wedding vows.
