Catherine Elizabeth Lee

October 15, 1921 — February 14, 2023

Catherine Elizabeth Bradley was born in Omaha, NE on October 15, 1921 to her father Mr. Bradley (Deceased) and her mother, Marie Louise Thompson (Deceased). Catherine has one living brother, Eugene Tassin (spouse Sylvia Tassin) in California. Her two sisters and one brother are deceased: Josephine Bradley, Elena Woods, and Michael P. Tassin. Catherine, affectionately known as Kay, attended primary and high schools in Nebraska. She and her brother Michael moved to Colorado, she worked as a waitress at Brownies in 5 Points and met Harry Lee who was a Denver Deputy Sherriff.

In May of 1949, Kay married Harry Lee in Denver, CO and they bought their first home on Adams St. They attended Holy Ghost Catholic Church and were faithful about their love for God. In the early 70's, they purchased the iconic Lee residence on Monaco Parkway in historic Park Hill. They loved that house, especially their front and backyards, as the landscape was impeccably well groomed. Abundantly overflowing in the yards, were their beautiful roses and colorful flowers. Happily, they could be seen every day working in the yards, watching the birds in the fountain bath, and simply enjoying each other's company. Their pride shown on the inside of their house as well, as the Lee's home was a loving environment and festive for the holidays. They also loved their Bronco season tickets, driving to the games in their 1963 Blue Chevrolet Malibu.

Kay worked 25 years for the Air Force Accounting and Finance Center on York St./Lowry AFB. She loved working with numbers, was very good at budgeting, and making wise decisions with money. She and Harry invested in real estate and maintained the family land in the mountains of historic Lincoln Hills.

Kay was unable to have children. So, the names of Uncle Harry and Aunt Kay were born. Aunt Kay was a very nurturing woman, but would tell you straight like it is. She loved children and embraced her nieces/nephews as her very own. She really wanted their lives to be guided by education, faith, and knowing right from wrong. All of our lives were made better by Aunt Kay's influence. Until their last breath, Aunt Kay took care of Harry's mother Lu, his sister Velma, and of course her dear Harry.

Aunt Kay gave her very best to everyone and she deserved the very best care until her last breath. Our family thanks all of the special caregivers who took great care of Aunt Kay. She was our oldest living relative at 101 years old and everyone knew about her "fountain of youth" that she and Harry loved. It was very fitting on Valentine's Day, that our Dear Lord welcomed her into Heaven for a job well done and reunited souls with her beloved Harry Lee.
