Charlene Antionette Rogers, 89 Passed away on November 5, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born in Silt, Colorado on February 20, 1932 to Tony and Molly Palazzi.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Robert K Rogers (Casey), their two sons Dave Rogers (Janine Rogers) and Mike Rogers, their four grandchildren Nicole (Rogers) Dreher, Jena (Rogers) Graham, Matthew Rogers, Karah (Rogers) Berg, and their seven great grandchildren Zeke Rogers, Zed Rogers, Zoe Rogers, Madeline Berg, Gabriella Berg, Piper Graham and Jace Graham. Charlene was preceded in death by both of her parents and two brothers Jim and Dick Palazzi.
Charlene graduated from Silt High School in 1950 and was Valedictorian and a cheerleader. She met the love of her life Robert K. Rogers 75 years ago in Silt and they celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary on September 2, 2021. Shortly after getting married they left the Western slope and moved to Denver. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and neighbor who left a special legacy.
Some of her favorite pastimes were going dancing with Casey on weekends with family and friends, playing the piano and having singalongs with her family and Casey's family, spending many hours at ballparks and gyms cheering on her favorite athletes. She also enjoyed bowling on her ladies league on Tuesdays and on Thursday evenings with Casey. She was a huge sports fan, loved to have game nights with the family and could be found in front of the penny slot machines in Blackhawk. Her favorite pastime was cooking amazing meals and the smell of Italian food on Sundays would bring her family all together.
