Charles H. Meuser, 77, of Palmer, Alaska, died February 22, 2011 at his home in Palmer.
Funeral services will be held at the Newcomers East Metro Chapel, 190 Potomac St, Aurora, Colorado with Elk's Honors. Interment with full military honors will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Lakewood, Colorado.
Mr. Meuser was born Christmas day, December 25, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Charles and Katherine Meuser.
He served his country in the United States Navy and for many years resided in Aurora, Colorado. He has been a resident of Palmer, Alaska for the past 11 years. A member of the Lutheran Faith, Mr. Meuser was a member of the Elks Lodge in Aurora, CO Lodge #1921 and attended the Palmer Elk's Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, muzzle loading and the muzzle loader rendezvous.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Virginia T. Meuser of the family home, his daughters, Jean Thomas and her husband Michael of Palmer, and Carol Meuser of Aurora, his grandchildren, Allen Meuser of Palmer, Christopher Sweaney and Samantha Dotson, both of Aurora, and two great-grandchildren, Devin Sweaney of Aurora and Graysen Meuser of Palmer.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make memorial contributions to either the National Kidney Foundation or to the American Heart Association.
