Charlotte Marietta Anderson was called Home on January 22, 2022. She was born on February 16, 1949 in Caruthersville, Missouri and soon relocated to Mansfield, Ohio where she spent her childhood and adolescent years. After graduating from Mansfield Senior High School, she joined the United States Army where she served her country honorably as a Finance Specialist.
Upon her discharge from the service, she embarked upon a long and successful career as an accountant and financial controller. In her career she worked in various roles for government departments including the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Colorado Department of Transportation, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the U.S. Department of the Interior. In all of her professional endeavors she distinguished herself with her remarkable intelligence, incisive attention to detail, and unshakeable integrity.
While she was pursuing her career, she completed her bachelor's degree at DeVry Institute of Technology, and in 2005, became the first member of her family to receive a graduate degree when she earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Regis University.
She had a great love of films and music, and her ability to love classic Isley Brothers tracks along with the latest from the K-Pop band BTS spoke to her openness and diversity of tastes. She was predeceased by her mother, Minnie L. Gatewood and her siblings Rodger Anderson, Deborah Anderson, Alfred Anderson, and Melany Johnson. She is survived by her siblings Lurtin Anderson, Beverly Clemons, and Brett Wilson along with many nieces, nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on February 26, 2022 at 1PM at Newcomer Funeral Home's East Metro Chapel located at 190 Potomac Street, Aurora, CO 80011.
Charlotte's services will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
