Charlotte Marie Barela Trujillo Tretter

Charlotte Tretter, 76, of Aurora, Colorado passed to Peace on Friday September 22, 2023. Charlotte was born to the late Albert & Phoebe Barela in Trinidad, Colorado on June 23, 1947. She attended Holy Trinity & Trinidad High Schools. She married Richard Trujillo in 1964. They had Sharon Rose and Roxanne Lee before relocating to Golden, Colorado. When Charlotte's children were young, the phrase "Stay at home mom" didn't exist. It was usual for women to stay home with the children while their husbands worked. But, even by the standards for the era, Charlotte was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family. Once her girls were of school age, she began work at their school as everyone's favorite kindergarten teacher's aide.
As her girls grew older, she began education in all aspects of banking, starting as a teller, and climbing the corporate ladder to banking quality control auditor.

Charlotte loved her family and was the host for every holiday gathering. She was the life of the party and very active in her children and grandchildren's lives. She was artistic in every medium; her creative talent was endless as she was good at everything.
Charlotte's beauty would light up the room and her sense of humor would make everyone's heart smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Phoebe Barela deceased; Significant Others, Richard Trujillo and Dale Tretter.
Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Sharon Petla and Roxanne Al-Kadari and her three grandchildren, Angelo Garcia, Desaray Garcia, Sam Al-Kadari.

Charlotte is now at peace in Heaven and forever in our hearts, which are filled with gratitude for this incredible soul that graced our lives.
