Chester Ball of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away July 13, 2010. Chester was born December 20, 1923 in Kentucky. He served in the USMC during WWII in the Pacific front attaining the rank of Corporal. After the war he moved to Missouri to play the music circuit. While in Missouri, he met Nadine McClosker, the love of his life. They were married in 1951. She predeceased him in 2002. They moved back to Kentucky, where Chester graduated from the University of Kentucky. He became a chemist with the FDA, where he worked until his retirement in 1985. He continued to play banjo, mandolin, and guitar until he died. Chester is survived by two children, Carol (Frank) Keen and Fred Ball, both of Lakewood. Three grandchildren: Neil Ball of Wilson, Kansas; Cheryl Keen of Arvada; and Christopher Ball (unknown). Ten great-grandchildren: Stacy, Matthew, Patricia, James, Becky, Austin, Dezirae, Destini, Deyvionah, and Anthony. Predeceased by one son, Michael, in 1995.
