Christiane Elaine Carter entered into her rest on Friday, January 26th, 2018. She was born to Charles and Maxezine Cantrell, Nov. 27th, 1962, in North town Kansas City, MO. Christiane graduated from Abraham Lincoln high school in 1981. She married Jack Carter on June 10th, 1989 and they lived together in Colorado Springs, CO., before relocating to Denver in 1990. From there they relocated to small towns in the outlying area of Denver. There most recent place of residence was in Keenesburg, CO. where they moved in Dec. of 2015.
Christiane was a homemaker until she went to be with her Lord and a homeschool teacher until all of her children had graduated from Columbine Christian Academy. Her involvement in the church and in the community continued on very effectively. In the church of Christ where she was an effective member she was a beloved Bible teacher to the children where she shared her very accomplished artistic abilities and knack for teaching through songs. In the community she worked at the library in Bennet, Co., where she continued to share her many talents with the children that participated in the programs she would put together touching profoundly many lives. Her involvement with Kamp Koinonia was the highlight of her year. She served as a "nurse", but called herself a medi-mom. The children at Kamp just loved her and she loved seeing the love of God have a profound impact on their young lives. Her favorite pastime was to entertain her friends by putting on a fancy tea party. If it had to do with tea, tea cups, or tea pots she was all over it. She loved to go on long road trips with her husband and children; most of the time the trip was taken so she could spend more time with her parents with whom she was very close.
Christiane is survived by her husband Jack Carter, her four children Jack (jr.), Benjamin, Holly, and Heidi, her parents Charles and Maxezine Cantrell of Live Oak, Fl. , her siblings Chuck, Cheryl, and Ed. She is also survived by six nephews, five nieces, and one great niece.
