Christine L. Broadnax was 34 years old when she passed into life with her Lord Jesus Christ as she prayed.
Christine, lovingly known as Christy, was a unique, artistic, thoughtful and loving soul who cared for all that she met. She was born November 17, 1985 in Florence, Alabama but spent most of her life as a Colorado resident. As a child she was a shy young lady, a girlie girl, who loved tea parties, playing the Little Mermaid and loved being in water. She also loved gymnastics and music. We have fond memories of her singing and dancing.
She graduated from Pomona High School in Arvada, Colorado and went on to nursing school at Ann Rose School - Nursing Arts to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. This allowed her to be able to do what she did best, take care of people. She lived her belief – to do unto others as you would want done unto you.
Christine met her husband Anthony Broadnax, in Arvada, Colorado, December 13, 2005. It was love at first sight. From then on, they were inseparable. The two were married and became husband and wife on April 19, 2008. Together they brought three beautiful children into the world: Malachi, Alijah and Mia.
Christy accepted our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into her life in 2015. From then on, her mission was for others to know the Lord.
During the last 5 years of her life she had health issues and battled breast cancer. She never complained. Instead Christy spent hours on her prayer mat. She turned this into an opportunity to share the word of God with others in the treatment facilities. She was strong.
Even though Christy will be dearly missed, she was ready to be with the Lord.
Christy is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Broadnax, and children: Malachi Broadnax, Alijah Broadnax, and Mia Broadnax; her mother, Karen Rose and her father, Jeff Hedlun; sister Cheryl Hedlun (Matt Reymes), and brothers Michael Hedlun, Matthew Hedlun (Jamie) and Jason Rose (Danielle), plus her many nephews and nieces.
All of these she loved and touched deeply.
