Christopher Earl Harley, 65, of Aurora, passed away March 20, 2018.
Christopher Earl Harley was born October 7, 1952 in Bedford, Ohio, the son of Raymond and Barbara (Barbee) Harley. The family resided in Twinsburg, Ohio, where he was provided a strong spiritual foundation.
Chris was a graduate of Western Reserve Academy in Ohio. He served honorably, as a true patriot in the United States Army. Chris married Ama Addae, from Ghana. He worked tirelessly with the Ghana community both here and abroad, to help improve their lives.
Chris was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. He had a heart for people and a loving, giving spirit. Always with a smile, he gave of himself to family, friends, and others. No one was a stranger. He served as Associate Pastor at Abundant Life Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member until transitioning into his final journey. A loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, he will be deeply missed.
Chris is preceded in death by his wife, Ama Harley, and parents, Raymond and Barbara (Barbee) Harley. He is survived by four daughters, Zeonna Parrish (Colorado), Patricia Harley (Colorado), Wansong Harley-Maddox (California), and Maame Serwaah (Ghana); siblings, Raymond (Irene, devoted sister-in-law) Harley Jr. (Colorado), Rochelle (Stan) Williams (Texas), Diane Harley-Brown (Michigan), Judith Harley (Texas), Janet Harley (Ohio), Patricia (Duane) Lindsey (Georgia), Roxane Reese (Ohio); cousin/brother, David (Essie) Harley Jr. (California); grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
