Christopher Lenord "Chris" Smith, 55, of Aurora, passed away April 25, 2021.
He was born June 18, 1965 in Atchison, Kansas, the son of the late Clarence Jr. and Clydene (Peterson) Smith.
He was a 1983 graduate of Montbello High School.
Chris was a federal employee for 30 years. He began his career at Lowry Air Force Base with DFAS and worked there for 16 years. He was then a Human Resources Specialist with ARPC at Buckley Air Force Base for 14 years.
Chris loved to cook, try new recipes, and eat at new restaurants. He was a modern-day Foodie. He was also an avid traveler and movie buff. He enjoyed going to jazz concerts. Chris will be remembered for his kindness, laughter and infectious smile. He never knew a stranger when he entered a room. Above all, Chris loved to connect with and spend time with his family.
Chris is survived by his mother, Clydene Smith; four brothers, Clarence L. Smith III, Ceasar L. Smith, Charleton L. (Veronda) Smith and Mark May; two sisters, Cheryl Fuller and Windy Smith; step-daughter, Skylar Clark; 13 nieces and nephews, Tanaia, Samantha, Theodore, Ceasar II, C. Marcus, Kylah, Imani, Kori, Markayla, Mark Jr, Martika, Omm and Aziim; great-nieces and great-nephews, Cayden, Theodore Jr. and Ezekiel, Taniah, Winter, Makyah, Ariona, Aryah, Miya, Jada, Josh, Aubree, Jasmine and Jaxson; grandfather, Robert E. Givhan; aunt, Robin Givhan; uncle, Kenneth Peterson and numerous extended family and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by father, Clarence L. Smith, Jr. and grandmother, Vera Z. Peterson.
