Clara I Anema, 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 to meet her Lord.
Clara was born in Ames, Iowa on November 12, 1923 to Louis and Bertha Tuinstra. She was the only child. She spent her life as a devoted wife and mother, and is now with her loving husband of 62 years, Charles Anema, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Alberta (Bertie) DeVries and KarenTaylor, and sons Dale and Jim Anema, as well as eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Clara will be remembered with love and fondness by many. She touched many lives because of her giving nature and was considered a "second mom" by many. She became friends with nearly everyone she met and always showed love and concern. She will be missed by all.
The following verse was selected in remembrance:
God saw you were getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So He put his arms around you
and He whispered "come with me."
With tearful eyes we watched you suffer
and watched you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating.
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
That He only takes the best.
It's lonely here without you.
We miss you more each day.
Life doesn't seem the same
Since you went away.
When days are sad and lonely,
and everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
"Cheer up and carry on."
Each time we see your picture
you seem to smile and say,
"Don't cry, I'm in God's hands.
We'll meet again someday."
