Clara Mae Parker

May 29, 1928 — October 30, 2021

Clara Mae Parker was born on May 29, 1928 in the state of Mississippi to the union of Reverend Henry Miles Sr. and Lela Bullock. She was the baby girl born to her parents out of 15 children. Clara migrated from Mississippi to St Louis, Missouri and in her early 20's she married John Parker and bore three children Armenta, Terry Ann and Johnnie Parker. Their spouses are Danny Simpson, Donald Brown and Deborah Parker.

While raising her children, Clara worked in the healthcare industry at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She later changed occupation to home healthcare for elderly, disabled individuals and childcare. She also spent time working as an airport passenger shuttle driver. She finally retired from working in the mid-1990's.

She moved to Denver, Colorado in 1978 and became a faithful member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church headed by her brother Reverend Henry Miles Jr. Clara was appointed Mother of the Church by Pastor Miles, a position she honored. She loved all the church members, family and friends.
Clara was an amazing woman of grace and beauty who devoted her life to caring for her family and others, a dedicated servant of God that loves to worship the Lord and reached out to touch many lives and through her faith, guidance and love she left an everlasting impression on people. She recruited many others to join the church home and help them learn about the Lord.

She was a missionary, reading the bible, singing and rejoicing the word of the Lord. She visited hospitals, nursing homes, sick family and friends. She enjoyed dining out and eating good food, traveling and shopping.

Clara had 10 grandchildren, Johnnie, Jr., Jamal, Adriel, Jevon, Aceila, Derrick, Danny, Jr., Danielle, Jabori and Angela, who preceded Clara in death. She had 12 great-grandchildren, which include two sets of twins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
