Clarence "Red" Dee

July 13, 1932 — October 4, 2019

Clarence F. "Red" Dee, 87, of Centennial, CO died 4 Oct 2019 after a short illness. There are not enough words or time, to describe what a great man he was.

Red was born in Nevada, MO on 13 Jul 1932. He knew he did not want to stay in this little town all his life, so he joined the Air Force. Red excelled in the Air Force. At the time of his promotion to CMSGT, he was the youngest person to achieve that rank (31 years old with only 13 years of service). Some of his service awards include:
USAF Meritorious Service Award
2 USAF Commendation Medals
Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation
5 Good Conduct Medals
United Nations Service Medal with 2 Battle Stars
American Defense Service Medal
3 USAF outstanding Unit Awards Along with Others.
But the best thing that he did in the Air Force was to meet his wife, Kiyoko. They dated for three years and went through a ton of red tape but on 20 May 1955, the knot was tied.
Red also served 13 years in Civil Service where he retired as a GS-12 and he also worked 10 years in industry (5 of those with Rocky Mountain Energy). Red was also a prolific bowler. THE BEST BOWLER EVER IN OUR EYES. He taught the whole family to bowl, along with others. He threw a 300 game when he was blind in one eye and continued bowling even when he couldn't make out which ball was on his track.
Red is survived by 2 sisters who live in Missouri and one brother living in California. His 2 sons, Clark and Travis of Aurora and his wonderful wife of 64 years, Kiyoko.
He was a great daddy, dad and husband. He will be severely missed.
