Clarence Joseph Luzum

Clarence Joseph "Joe" Luzum was born June 21, 1922 in Calmar, Iowa to William and Leona Luzum. He went home to Heaven on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at age 87.

A WWII Army Veteran, he earned the rank of 1st Lieutenant, and earned 3 battle stars for Normandy, Northern France and Germany. Also a Master's degree graduate of the University of Denver, he enjoyed a long career as a USAF Senior Contracts Auditor.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dorothy, sons Gary Luzum, Duane Luzum and Larry (& Charlene) Luzum, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 11 brothers and sisters.

He was a kind-hearted gentleman and a man of honor, who's laughing blue eyes, kindness and great jokes and war stories will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. He will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Memorial service will be held Monday, September 14, 2009 at Newcomer West Metro Chapel at 10:00am. Interment and full military honors ceremony to follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 12:00pm, Staging Area "A".
