Clarice Verena Miller, 84, joined the choir in heaven after a valiant battle with a long illness. Mrs. Miller's devotion to her family and her steadfast love of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ gave her courage during her battle and ultimately healing and peace.
Born December 22, 1935 in Guide Rock, Nebraska, to John and Bertha Wehrly, she spent her childhood growing up in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Clarice attended Nyack Missionary College in Nyack, New York from 1953 to 1957. She graduated from Fort Wayne Bible College in 1968. It was at Nyack where she met and fell in love with Donald D. Miller of Cincinnati, Ohio. They married on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1957. Mr. Miller preceded her in death in 1996.
Clarice's life calling was to share the Gospel of Jesus and she and her husband served as missionaries in West Africa from 1964 – 1975. Clarice loved to entertain and there was always room at the table for friends, family, and visitors from around the world.
Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, and brother. She is survived by three daughters, Constance Haney and husband, Peter of Brighton, CO, Robin Zook and husband, Chris of Colorado Springs, CO, Brenda Miller of Luling, LA, seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Clarice has been a resident of Colorado Springs since 1981.
While we will dearly miss Clarice here on earth, we are confident that one day we will be reunited in heaven.
