Born June 28, 1917, in Omaha, Nebraska, Connie preceded her immediate family to Colorado when, still in her teens, she enrolled in beauty college in Denver. She later married Thermal A. Boyer; they had two children, a son and daughter, Wynn and Connie Rae. They lived in Wichita during the early years of their marriage, but then moved to Denver and became permanent residents of Colorado. Connie was self-employed most of her life, beginning with her own beauty shop; she later, aftermoving to Boulder, started Connie's Secretarial Service--a well-known Boulder business for about 40 years; after
