Corinne received her bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Colorado and her Master's degree from Marquette University. Her first teaching assignment was in the town of Ft. Lupton, CO and she then moved to Longmont, CO. However, the majority of her teaching career was spent with the Aurora Public Schools. After her daughter Michelle was born she switched from teaching elementary school to G.E.D. She enjoyed working with the adults and especially the subject of math. She always regretting not become a math teacher. Even after retirement she continued teaching G.E.D. classes at the Montbello Catholic Church of the Ascension for a couple of years. She taught for over 50 years. Corinne was very active in her Parish. She enjoyed helping to count money on Mondays. She was also involved with her exercise group Silver Sneakers and enjoyed meeting up with old friends. Traveling was always a priority in her life, she always said, "Travel is educational," and would skimp on everything else to save up enough to go around the country and the world.
Oso, her little shih tzu, meant the world to her. The two of them enjoyed sitting in the backyard while she would read the paper and he would rest next to her or chase squirrels. Gardening was another passion of hers. She loved to be out in the yard planting flowers or working in her vegetable garden. She passed this onto her grandson Stefan, who for the last several years helped her plant and take care of the yard. He knowledge, kindness and lovingness will be greatly missed.
