Curtis Bolden, Jr.

October 21, 1929 — September 11, 2020

Curtis "Curt" Bolden, Jr., son of the late Curtis and Irma Bolden, was born October 21, 1929, growing up in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the eldest of four children survived by his baby sister, Mary E. Rucker and his lifetime partner, Thurman Bartlett.

Curt retired from the Air Force and from Civil Service. He was a graduate of St. John's College, Winfield, Kansas and an accomplished organist and member of Hope Lutheran Church, Aurora, Colorado.

He began playing piano at age 5 and began serious study at age 9. He switched to organ at age 16 and pursued this at several colleges and universities. While in the Air Force, he served as Chapel Organist in many states as well as in Europe, Saudi Arabia and Thailand.

His personal code of conduct was doing unto others as yourself.
