Daniel Weidenhamer

Daniel Lee Weidenhamer (74) of Strasburg, Colorado passed away on April 4, 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born on December 29, 1935 to Bernard and Vivian Weidenhamer in Defiance, Ohio. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, walking and playing cards with friends.
He is survived by his wife Myrna of Strasburg; his son John of Inglewood, CA; 2 daughters Trudy (Christian) Jones of North Dakota, and Tirza (Mike) Smith of Pontiac, Missouri. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Alyssa, John, Jayme and Dexter as well as one great-granddaughter Layla.
He was preceded in death by his older brother Dave (Jo) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and has two surviving brothers Gene (Linda) and Les (Sandy) of Defiance, Ohio and a sister Karen (Phil) Brown of Ney, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, gifts to The Denver Rescue Mission or to the Alzheimer's Association on his behalf are suggested.
A memorial service will be held on May 8th at 1PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Aurora, CO.
