Dannie C. Carroll, 63, of Thornton, passed away September 18, 2018.
He was born January 24, 1955 in Renton, Washington, the son of
James and Darlene (Natherda) Carroll. On February 28, 1978 he married Hazel Paulie, in Parker, Colorado.
Dannie is survived by his wife, Hazel Carroll; son, Daniel (Heather) Carroll-Hoyer; step-son, Ray Paulie; step-daughter, Jill (Bob) Rulon; daughter, Debra Carroll; five granddaughters, Amber (Jonathon) Hernandez, Kayla Nakata, Valerie Cress, Ciara Rulon, and Calli Rulon; five grandsons, D.J. Lujan, Joshua (Amelia) Paulie, Jeremy (Holly) Paulie, Andrew Cress, and John Rulon; great-grandson, Colton Paulie; and brother, James (Sally) Carroll, Jr. He is preceded in death by his father, James Carroll; mother, Darlene Sheridan; and sister, Pam Erickson.
Dannie was a jack-of-all trades. He worked as a service technician, carpenter foreman, import/export business, sold annuities and life insurance and finally his most favorite job as a mortgage underwriter for Pulte Homes and the most wonderful team and boss he could ever ask for.
He was also an excellent artist, sculptor, furniture builder and a handyman that could fix anything and everything. A Sunday school teacher for children and adults. He enjoyed studying Bible theology and God's word. Dannie also had a great sense of humor, as many of you know. He brought laughter and love to many of us.
Dannie & Hazel celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary in February. Their love for each other was breathtaking as well as unimaginable. They enjoyed serving God together and fishing, hunting, and sightseeing. As Dannie always put it, "life together for us was an extraordinary adventure!" A few days before Dannie died he was singing with Hazel this song: "I'm so glad I've learned to trust Him, Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend; and I know that He is with me, will be with me to the end."
