Darren Williams was born December 4, 1983 in Denver, Colorado to Leslie Perry and Richard Williams. He attended schools in the Denver Public School system including Stedman Elementary, Gove Middle School, and George Washington High School. Darren received his high school diploma from Grand Mesa High School, and completed Collbran Job Corp in Collbran, CO with an apprenticeship in Culinary Arts in 2005. He soon began working for Aramark with positions at Coors Field, the Pepsi Center and Dick's Sporting Goods Park where he found his calling to be an advocate for worker's rights as an active union steward with CWA23. Darren eventually continued his fierce advocacy for his union members at the Westin at Denver International Airport.
Darren had an electric personality and is well-respected throughout the country through his union family. Darren was a loving, genuine, compassionate human being, and was one of the most good-natured and well-intentioned people you would ever meet. Darren was committed to being present and active with his close family, and never hesitated to be there when he was needed. He was considerate, loving, and protective of those he loved; especially his baby cousins Jazmyne, Jaliah, and Josiah. In addition to family and friends, Darren was passionate about his WWE, Duke basketball and of course his Denver Broncos! Darren's endearing crooked "Popeye" smile and infectious giggle would light up a room – especially around the holidays – and will be painfully missed.
Darren is preceded in death by his father Richard Williams, his grandmother and grandfather Theodore and Marion Adams, and his aunts Monica Adams and Linda Caldwell. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother and step father Leslie and James Perry, his brothers Dominic (Tiffany) Williams, DeShawn Blue, Clifford (Bernadette) Clayton, Nigel (Katie) Perry, and sister Brandy (Michael Evans) Clayton; nephews Richard, Gabriel, Raphael, and Troy Williams, Aiden Bunt, Adam Garcia-Clayton, and Alfred Evans; and nieces Grace Williams, Alijah Perry, and Korie Garcia-Clayton. Darren leaves behind a host of other family and friends who will miss him dearly including his aunts Tracey Adams Johnson and Beverly Perry, his uncles Gary Adams, Glenn, Rodney and Ricky Williams and best friends Todd Wells and Kirby Allen.
