David Goodwin

David Wayne Goodwin of Aurora, Colorado. Our much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend Dave passed away Monday, September 24th, 2007. Dave was born August 8th, 1952 in Muncy, Indiana to Glen and Betty Jean Goodwin. He was the oldest of seven children. In 1979 while living in Fontana, California, he rekindled a friendship and fell in love with his soon to be wife and the love of his life, Neva. They were married on September 19th, 1980. Together they raised their five children as one united family. Dave and Neva moved to Colorado in 1999 to be closer to their children and grandchildren. They fell in love with the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and spent many weekends there. For the past eight years Dave worked as a courier for DHL International, Ltd. Dave's greatest enjoyment was supporting his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in all their ambitions, interests, and hobbies.
He is survived by his wife of 27 loving years, Neva. His son; Jim and wife Tammy. His daughters; Michelle and husband Mike, Laura, Charlotte and future husband Alan, and Jennifer. "Adopted" daughter; Tina. Twenty seven grandchildren; Tabitha, Michael, Erica, Sean, Nicole, Amanda, Brittany, Jessica, Jamie, Austin, Anthony, Matthew, Shelby, Mason, Anthony, Claudia, Danielle, Tim, Vic, Josh, Andi, Dallas, Kristi, Cindy, Jeter, Christopher, and Lupe. "Adopted" grandchildren; Danielle and Brook. One great grandchild; Faythe. Parents-in-law; Frank and Frances. Brothers, Sisters and their spouses; Becky and Keith, Glenna and Dave, Carl and Bessie, Georgia, Steve and Theresa, Patty, Jim and Edna, Donna and Ron, Dick and Bonnie. Numerous nieces and nephews. Known also as dad, grandpa, and uncle to many. He was preceded in death by his parents Glen and Betty Jean, three children Kevin, Michelle, and David Jr.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the Newcomer Family Funeral Home 190 N. Potomac Aurora, CO 80011.
