David Michael Lazoen

David Michael Lazoen, 56, passed away Saturday, April 20th at his home in Lakewood, CO. Born in Michigan on September 6th, 1967 to parents Ronald and Carolyn, David grew up with a passion for music, a thrill for adventure, and a knack for making people laugh. Married to his wife Sophia in 1999, they raised a son, Tyler, and a daughter, Alyssa. As a devoted father, he built memories that his children look upon fondly, taking them fishing in the summers and sledding in the winters. He and his family moved out to Colorado in 2016, fulfilling a long-time dream.

David’s father, Ronald Lazoen, passed away shortly after him on May 7th. David is predeceased by the family’s beloved dog and four-legged best friend, Koda. David is survived by his children, Alyssa and Tyler Lazoen, his wife, Sophia Lazoen (née Song) his mother, Carolyn Lazoen (née Billcheck), his three siblings, Suzanne, Sherri, and Ronnie, and the family’s cat, Jaspurr.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor on June 8th at 1pm at the family’s Lakewood home.

His family is requesting that donations be made to the ASPCA in lieu of flowers.
