David John Lloyd, of Elizabeth, passed away peacefully on December 30th, surrounded lovingly by his wife and five children.
David was born in Rugby, England and proudly became an American Citizen in April of 1999. As a young man, David was honored to serve in the US Air Force after arriving in this country in 1959. He was a mechanical engineer by trade, and retired from his career as a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for Conmed Corporation.
David worked hard to provide a wonderful and secure life for his family. David was the most kind and caring man who was passionate about his family,
his dogs, and animals. He was an advocate for wildlife conservation. He loved having his family together as often as he could and loved to cook for them.
In David's life, no animal was left behind. All strays were welcome from chickens, to cats, to deer. He was known amongst the neighborhood dogs as the treat man, and his grandchildren could always count on him to have the best sweets and snacks. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking (his breakfast burritos were a family favorite).
David is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Kathryn, and his five children, Steven, Christopher, Bridget, Nicole and Justin. David was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
