David Lee Poston

David Poston, age 69, died peacefully at St. Anthony's Hospital on March 27th, 2019, surrounded by friends and his chosen family.

David found meaning in completing hard work with his hands. He was a long-time employee of Jack's Bar and Grill where he assisted with maintaining the grounds and was regularly found joking with coworkers and customers.

David also helped manage a residential property with his best friend Manuel and his wife Lisa, where he was well known and liked by the tenants.

Building and collecting model cars was one of David's favorite hobbies. He enjoyed working with tools and watching western movies and various shows about cars, racing and trucks.

David was filled with a gentle love and kindness for animals, especially Isabella the Shiranian, who he visited with regularly. David spent much of his free time with Manuel and Lisa, who welcomed David into their family and ensured his inclusion in the community. While David was a man of few words, he was blessed with an enormous heart, a quirky sense of humor and the ability bring laughter and joy to those around him.

A community potluck and BBQ celebration of David's life will be held on April 14th at 2 pm in the afternoon at 1107 Carr Street, Lakewood, Colorado.
