71, of Denver, passed away Monday, January 26, 2009.
He was born David Royce Brown to Harold Royce and Katherine Irene Brown, January 17,1938 in Wichita, Kansas. Dave moved to Colorado in September 1967. He married Donna Jean on February 16, 1973. During the early 80's, Dave was active with the Optimist Club in Littleton, CO.
Dave and Donna moved to the Windsor Gardens community in 1991. Dave was known to many and friends to all. Living at Windsor Gardens allowed him to do what he enjoyed–PLAY GOLF! Dave played on multiple leagues and tournaments. Even when golf was lousy, it was good. Dave was a meat cutter by trade, but a true golfer at heart.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine and Harold; sister, Kathleen; brother, James.
Dave is survived by his wife: Donna; sister-in-law: Kiyo, of Lakewood; Uncle Charles of Lincoln, NE; children: Lisa, of Centennial, CO; Marcia of Sterling, MI; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 5 nieces; 3 great nephews; 1 great niece; 1 great great niece; 1 great great nephew.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date at the Windsor Gardens Community Center. In lieu of flowers, donations to: Children's Hospital Foundation, 13123 E. 16th Avenue, Aurora, CO 80045.
