David Price Scott, 56, of Commerce City, Colorado passed away at home on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Eryn Scott, and children, Nicolette, Hannah, and Kiefer. He is also survived by his grandsons, Christian and Keegan Turner.
Dave was born on April 23, 1966, in Frankfurt, Germany to Richard and Susan Scott. Dave was an Army Brat and lived in many different places growing up such as Virginia, Kentucky, England, Kansas, and Michigan but always considered himself a Texan. Dave played soccer throughout his school years and coached youth soccer for over 10 years.
Dave attended Old Dominion University before realizing he enjoyed sales and working with people more than sitting in a classroom. He was a self-starter who pursued different opportunities in several different industries. He sold ostriches, managed a direct marketing office, worked for National Write Your Congressman, and sold health insurance just to name a few. He enjoyed a lifelong career as a bartender where he was happy to share his Christian views on politics and religion to anyone who would listen. Most recently he started a safety flooring company.
Dave met his wife Eryn in Colorado in 2000 while working at the same marketing firm. They enjoyed traveling the country and opening offices in Denver, Chicago, Houston, and Dallas before settling in Denver to put down roots.
Dave enjoyed the outdoors. He liked spending time with his family and friends camping, fishing, shooting and his favorite, sitting around a campfire telling stories. But what he really loved to do was serve. He not only loved to serve his family, but he also loved to serve God and the local church. He was a very active volunteer and leader in youth ministry, men's ministry, and security at more than one church. He took his first mission trip this past July to serve at the Montana Dream Center, which rescues victims of sex trafficking. Dave was a man of God who was passionate about spreading the love of Christ to every person who crossed his path.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 28, 2022, at 10am at:
