David William Smith, age 64, of Casper passed away June 30th at his residence. David was born July 2, 1954 in Memphis Tennessee to Alvis "Ray" Smith and Jane Carol Whigham. In his younger years, David Smith moved to Colorado and attended Boulder High School. After high school David married Jane Harris and had two sons Robert William Smith and Ryan Christopher Smith. David served in the United States Air Force for four years followed by several years in the Colorado National Guard working on aircraft as a Corrosion Control Specialist.
Aside from his passion of aircraft, David was an amazing artist, loved to camp and fish, playing the guitar and the harmonica, treasure hunting and he loved his cat Kipper. He spent the last years of his life trying to help people clean up their lives and cared deeply for those in hardships.
David is survived by his mother and stepfather Jane and Bob Whigham, son Ryan Smith, brother Steve Smith, sister Juilane McMurtrey.
He was preceded in death by his father Alvis Smith, son Robert Smith.
