Denise Ann Slater, 52, of Centennial went to be with the Lord after losing her battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) by passing peacefully at home Monday night, December 21, 2009. Born in Burlington, Colorado on September, 28, 1957.
Wife to her loving husband, Rick; Mother of daughters Stephanie Drumm and Stacie Star and son Rick; Mother-in-Law to Becky Slater and Kyle Drumm. Sister to Linda Fairchild (Castle Rock, CO), Bonita Wise (Joes, CO), Jim Lengel (Cheyenne Wells, CO), Ronnie Lengel (Utah) and twin brother Dennis Lengel (Idalia, CO); Aunt to several nieces and nephews; Friend to more than one can count.
Denise was a savvy business woman, co-owner of several Dairy Queen franchises with her husband, Rick. She enjoyed raising her three children, time on the boat, playing cards with friends, and was a very active member of her church.
She was a wonderful wife, partner, mother, sister and friend, and will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
