Dennis Cody

May 10, 1955 — December 12, 2022

Dennis Cody passed away on December 12, 2022, after being in a coma for 2 weeks, the result of a fall.

Dennis was born on May 10, 1955, in Laramie, Wyoming. A 1973 graduate of Adams City High School, in Commerce City, Colorado, he also studied Art at Northern Colorado and Metropolitan State University of Denver. He spent a semester in Italy, studying art. It was a wonderful experience for him that he loved to share with everyone.

Dennis adored his family, spending as much time with them as possible. He was the best Uncle & Great Uncle to his blood family as well as his extended family. Carrying on traditions was extremely important to him. Teaching them to fish, cherish Looney Tunes, showing them how to be silly with an outfit or shirt for every occasion.

Dennis was the best, most loyal friend to all those who knew him, always offering a kind word, a shoulder to cry on or to share a drink and a story or two. He volunteered at multiple rodeos including Cheyenne Frontier Days and The National Western Stock Show in Denver. He volunteered in many motorcycle & VFW events, Running of the Kilts, often lending his fantastic culinary skills. He loved his family, loved his friends, and loved living his life. He loved to camp, be in the mountains and music. He was a DJ, artist, photographer, painted, played guitar, and enjoyed making crafts for those he cared about.

Dennis was surrounded at his bedside the weekend before his passing by friends and family where everyone was able to share stories, talk to Dennis, play music, and sing some of his favorite songs.

Dennis was proceeded in death by his mother, Glenna Jean Powell(Cole). He is survived by brothers Mike Jensen(Jan), Dan Jensen(Pam Hiddleston), and sister Becky Lee(Chris). Nieces, Juliet Wilson & Brandi Goldsborough, and Nephew Dylan Lee. Three great nephews, Troy Cose, Costin Goldsborough & Silas Goldsborough.

At his request, his ashes will be scattered in 2 different locations with family and friends at a later date.

Rest in Peace dear friend, brother, and Uncle. We love and miss you! Until we meet again.
