Dennis Lee Dunn

Dennis Dunn, 81, of Westminster, Colorado passed into the loving arms of Jesus in the evening hours of December 22, 2020. Dennis was born at home at 1st and Perry in Denver, on October 15, 1939. He was born to Orville and Virginia (Moesta) Dunn. He married Jeryl (Jeri) Atwood on June 28, 1966 and they were together 53 years until her death.

Dennis and Jeri have one daughter, Katrina (Dunn) Walker, born in December 1971. Dennis was also father to kids from his first marriage, David Dunn, Sheila (Dunn) Birchall, John Dunn, Michelle "Mickey" Dunn and Brian (Dunn) Barker.

Dennis was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle. He has numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Dennis spent 10 years in the United States Navy where he was stationed in places from Reykjavik, Iceland to Whidbey Island, Washington. Dennis eventually ended up working for Coors at the Glass plant. He spent 23 years there before he retired.

Dennis enjoyed reading and was rarely found without a book. However, his true passion was stream trains. Dennis' favorite train was the Union Pacific Big Boy.

Dennis will be met in Heaven by his wife Jeri, his daughter Michelle, his parents Ginger and Orville, and many other loving family and friends.

Dennis is survived by his Daughter and son-in-law, Katrina (Dunn) and David Walker, his Son John and Daughter-in-law Brandy (Sherman) Dunn, his granddaughters Shaelyn Walker, Mya Dunn, Bailey Dixon and grandsons Jackson and AJ Dunn, and his other children David Dunn, Sheila Birchall, and Brian Barker. Dennis is also survived by his Brother, William (Bill) and sister-in-law Sherilyn Dunn.
