Diana Gail (Coleman) Lemmons, of Thornton, Colorado passed away peacefully surrounded by loving members of her family on April 14, 2019 in Littleton, Colorado. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints she was born on April 11, 1944 in San Bernardino, California. She is survived by her husband James Eric Lemmons, a brother Dennis G. She was preceded in death by her father Archie Coleman, mother Virginia Gardner, step-father Eugene Gardner, a sister Bonnie Causey and a brother Ronald Coleman.
She married James Eric Lemmons on October 21, 2006. Diana was a loving and devoted wife. She selflessly put her life on hold while she became a care taker to her mother, husband and others. Diana owned many pets throughout her life but, in her later years she adopted Baxter, who was a wonderful companion and the love of her life - it broke her heart when he went to doggie heaven. She also took in her mom's two dogs, Missy Sue and Herbie and loved them as her own. After Baxter, she decided to rescue one last dog named Buttons, he gave her great joy and was a playmate for Herbie. Diana was a caring and compassionate person and loved her furry friends so much.
Diana graduated from Westminster High School. After which she worked as a dental assistant and then at JC Penny's Credit Dept. She attended the Weaver Air Lines School and worked in many facets of the travel industry. Her two most significant jobs were with Braniff Airlines until they closed and, then, went to United Airlines for a combined total of over 25 years.
Diana was a devoted fan of Wayne Newton and held the position of Area Coordinator in the Wayne Newton International Friends Club, (WNIFC). She loved attending his concerts, and the many events that were held, and especially getting to meet and spend time with Wayne and other members of the club.
Something everyone will remember about her is that two of the favorite songs were Old Time Rock and Roll and Wipe Out and she never missed the opportunity to get a good dance in - no matter where she heard these playing.
Diana had so many friends that thought the world of her, she always had a wonderful smile, she had a fun spirit about her and was a loyal and trusting friend.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
