Diane Kile, a beloved mother, wife, and friend, left this world on January 25, 2025, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, just one week to the minute after her cherished husband, Roy. Born on December 8, 1937, in Denver, Colorado, Diane embodied a spirit of adventure and joy that resonated deeply with all who knew her.
Diane will be remembered for her caring nature, her infectious smile, and her remarkable sense of humor that could brighten even the dullest of days. A loving mother to her son Chris and daughter Susan, she took immense pride in raising her family, guiding them with a gentle but steadfast hand. Diane consistently found joy in the little things - she loved an ice cold Pepsi-Cola. Her green thumb flourished in the rose garden she lovingly tended in her backyard, a testament to the beauty she brought into the world.
A woman of many talents, Diane's interests spanned from sewing and craft painting to her deep love for animals, especially cats and birds, who shared her home and her heart. She was adventurous at heart; not only did she love traveling and treasure hunting, but she also bravely learned how to scuba dive while living in Saudi Arabia with her Husband, diving into new experiences with a sassy and spirited enthusiasm.
Diane's legacy extends to her four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who will carry forth the warmth, laughter, and kindness she so generously shared. Her family was not just her pride but also her greatest joy, as she embraced each precious moment spent with them, showering them with love and affection.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy, her parents Henry and Helen, and her cousin Virginia, all of whom she missed dearly. The mark they left on her heart resonated throughout her life.
Diane’s faith was an integral part of her life, as she was deeply involved with her church community, a place where she found solace, strength, and connection with others. Her genuine spirit and peaceful demeanor were equally matched by her playful sass, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
A visitation will take place on January 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM, both held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 6465 W. Jewell Ave, Lakewood, CO. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, CO.
As we remember Diane, let us celebrate her adventurous spirit, her loving heart, and the joyous laughter that will echo in our memories forever. She will be profoundly missed by her family and friends, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
