Dianna Lynn (Allen) Johnston passed away on November 17th 2019 at Bear Creek Care Center in Morrison, Colorado at the age of 62. She was born August 11, 1957 in Denver, Colorado to the late Verla Arlene Allen and Avis Dale Allen.
Upon obtaining her high school diploma in 1975 from West High School, Dianna pursued a career in retail. On September 20, 1991 Dianna welcomed her son, Phillip H. Johnston Jr. to the world. Dianna and Phillip Jr resided in West Denver and often spent time together exploring the ever changing exhibits of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, of which she was a longtime member.
Dianna loved the natural beauty of her home state and enjoyed spending time in the colorful mountains of Colorado. In 2016 she moved into Bear Creek Care Center where she enjoyed being surrounded by the scenic beauty of Morrison color. Dianna further explored her life long love of art during her time at Bear Creek and became a very prolific artist and ceramicist.
Dianna will be remembered for her quick wit, kindness and fierce loyalty to her friends and family. Her humor carried her and those closest to her through difficult times and her smile was contagious.
Dianna is survived by her son, Phillip H. Johnston Jr and his wife Jordan A. Spainhower, daughter Sandy SaBell and her husband Jon SaBell, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Stacy (Allen) Jones, brother-in law Marvin Jones, niece Kenzi Jones, nephew Marshall Jones and his wife Brittany Jones.
A memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home 901 S Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80226 on Friday, November 22nd at 2 pm.
