Dolores Helen Lessing nee Grzywa of Golden, CO passed away on June 23, at the age of 90. She died peacefully in the presence of family.
Dolores was well known for her thoughtfulness, nurturing disposition, and the endless compassion she displayed towards family, friends, and strangers. She met the love of her life, Warren, in a strawberry field at 19-years old, and together they lived as examples of God's grace. But nothing mattered more to them than their ever-growing family.
She was an exceptional mother and grandmother and she will be remembered for her generosity, bright smile and lively laugh., The creativity she displayed in her miniatures will be enjoyed by her loved ones for many years. She also had a green thumb that allowed her to run a successful flower shop and create colorful gardens in her yard.
She joins her husband and two children in heaven and is survived by two sisters, three daughters, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren (and another on the way) and one great-great-grandchild.
Both Dolores and Warren held a special regard for veterans so in lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in her honor.
