Trujillo, Dolores
1933 - 2018
Dolores Trujillo, 84, passed away on September 13, 2018.
Dolores is survived by her four children: Felix (Anthony) Trujillo, Debra (Debbie) Trujillo, Sandra Lujan, and Nicole (Nikki) Trujillo. Also by her four siblings: Josephine (Josie) Munoz, Gilbert (Shirley) Rios, Linda Acosta and Olga Ollis. And numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Trujillo, her mother, Ignacia (Agnes) Murillo, her daughter, Linda (Tina) German, and two sisters, Christina Duran and Agnes Ortiz.
Dolores retired from Denver City and County Health Services. She worked as a file clerk at West Side Clinic but also helped as a translator for Spanish speaking clients, of which she truly enjoyed, helping others when she could. Dolores enjoyed traveling with her family to various places, from Mexico to Las Vegas, to Tennessee, to taking a cruise to Alaska.
To her family Dolores was referred to as "Lolie", and what "Lolie" wanted, "Lolie" got, from beautiful flowers, to T-bone steak dinners, to beautiful jewelry. In her last years, Sadie, a mutt owned by her son, became her favorite pet. Lolie and Sadie would watch TV together and sometimes sleep together. Lolie was always trying to sneak a snack to Sadie against the wishes of her son. And Sadie absolutely adored Lolie. Sadie would be very protective of Lolie and would always watch over her.
Lolie was a fun-loving, adventurous, kind and most of the time a sweet person. Her stubbornness would surface now and then, but she easily forgot and forgave.
She will be greatly missed by her children and siblings, and all of her extended family and friends.
May she regroup with her family that has gone before her and continue in her after-life adventure.
God Bless.
