Don Allen Aldridge, 81, of Thornton, Colorado passed away November 11, 2007.
The son of Edgar and Lorel Aldridge, he was born May 26, 1926 in Ratan, Texas on May 26, 1926. Don enlisted in the United States Army in 1942 when he was 16 years old. He served on a Fuel Tanker in the South Pacific during World War II. He later served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Don was united in marriage to Mary Dee Looney in Raton, New Mexico on September 4, 1953. Don worked as a Cattle Broker, and owned and operated a Service Station before moving to Denver, Colorado. After moving to Denver, he worked as a Salesman in the Truck Tires business.
Don is survived by his wife, Mary Dee Aldridge; a son and daughter-in-law Don and Debra Aldridge of Port Orchard, Washington; a daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Taka Fushimi of Thornton, Colorado; dear grandchildren Debra, Edna, Katrina, Jessica, Kelsey, Dawn Marie and Brooke, all of Port Orchard, Washington; T.J. and Tiffany, of Thornton, Colorado; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Pauline Aldridge, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers Denzel, Edward, William and F.D. and sisters, Thelma, Clara, Margarette and Alyce.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from 4:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. and Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 11:00A.M. both at the Newcomer Family Funeral Home - West Metro Chapel. Services will conclude in the Chapel. Private Interment, Fort Logan National Cemetery.
