Don Leon Nixon, Sr.
Born June 28, 1949 to Alvin C. Nixon and Vivian Henley-Nixon in Wichita, KS. Don had one sister, Alta Henley along with other step brothers and sisters that shared their love.
Don's passion and interest were music, singing, playing the drums and the guitar, bowling and sports. He loved the country and western movies as well as a good laugh from a good ole comedy show.
Weekly, he enjoyed playing cards and poker with his dear long-time friends which gave him joy and laughter just to sit and talk about the good old days.
Mostly, Don loved the Lord as well as listening to his favorite gospel music that fed his soul and uplifted his spirit. He enjoyed watching Joel Osteen every Sunday to hear the word of God being spoken in a prophetic way. His favorite pastime spoken was "Lord forgive me for my sins, come into my heart and I'll make you my Lord and Savior".
