Donald Applen

Donald A. Applen, 78, of Denver, passed away January 24,2003. Visiting hours Monday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; with Funeral service, Tuesday 9:30 a.m.; both at Newcomer Family Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. He was born September 18, 1924 in Harmony, MN. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife Gisela; daughters Linda and Lisa; granddaughter Bethany; sister Junetta; and brothers Charles, Allen and Orrin. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Donations may me made, in lieu of flowers, to the Hospice of Metro Denver 425 S. Cherry St., Suite 700, Denver, CO 80222-1234.
