Donald Keith Buzard, born in Presbyterian Hospital, Denver, Colorado December 23, 1932, died on January 4, 2019 at his home in Lakewood, Colorado.
Keith grew up in Edgewater, Colorado and lived with his parents, Alex and Inez Buzard and with his brother Kelly in a little house on Benton St. He loved playing sports in high school and lettered in basket ball, football, baseball and track.
After High School, Keith married his high school sweetheart, Sonja Vik on August 22, 1952 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Colorado. They were blessed with two children, Kurt Andre Buzard and Linda Marie Buzard.
Keith worked as a truck driver a Rocky Flats until he began working a Mountain Bell Telephone Company as an Installer/Repairman. At the end of his career, he became a supervisor and retired after 36 years with the company.
Gardening was a favorite occupation for Keith, growing beautiful flowers and large vegetable gardens. He was cheerful and good natured and always willing to loan tools or help with a project or offer a sympathetic ear.
Keith also enjoyed time spent with family and friends, camping, fishing and skiing.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents Alex and Inez Buzard, his brother Kelly and his nephew Ronald Buzard. His is survived by his loving wife Sonja, his children Kurt Andre (Lisa) Buzard and Linda Marie Buzard, his grandchildren, Anna Louisa (Jay) Schmidt and Adeline Marie Matschulat and his great-grandson Austin Jay Schmidt. He is also survived by two nephews Richard Buzard and Joe Buzard.
We will miss his kind and loving ways and all the fun, but now we celebrate his eternal life with all the saints who have gone before us.
Memorial Service July 6, 2019 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 6281 W. Yale Ave., Lakewood, Colorado 80227. The service will begin at 10:00 am.
